Want to make a positive impact in the lives of local children? If you have a passion for working with kids and advancing literacy, this is the right place for you! At York County Reads, our mission depends on our volunteers and we value them deeply. Fill out an application and background check below!
As a tutor you will be trained in a literacy approach that has a long history of success with individuals with dyslexia and without. Following the training each tutor is paired with a child and commits to working with them for a full semester. Tutors usually meet with their students twice a week at an after-school program in York County, typically for about 45-60 minutes.
Time and time again, tutors will witness moments of success as they watch their student's face light up!
